The Plan Commission Zoning Board of Appeals (PCZBA) have key roles in reviewing development plans and making recommendations to the Village Board. A final decision on development projects rests with the Village Board.
The PCZBA is also responsible for the review of the Comprehensive Master Plan, including an Official Map, and providing changes in and amendments to the Board of Trustees for final approval.
The review is a multi-departmental collaboration in which Petitioners receive guidance from all appropriate Village departments prior to presenting the request at a formal public hearing. The projects reviewed by the PCZBA are:
- Planned Unit Developments (PUD)
- Special Uses
- Land Use Variations
- Plats of Subdivision
- Text Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance
- Reviews requests for variations from the Zoning Regulations
