Voter Information

On Election Day, all polling places will open at 6:00 AM and will close at 7:00 PM. Information regarding where to vote can be found on your voter identification card or by visiting the Lake County Clerk’s Office Voter Power website. Individual polling locations are determined by the precinct number that is listed on the Certificate of Voter Registration card.

Voter Eligibility 

You may register to vote if:

  • You are a United States citizen
  • You are at least 18 years old on election day
  • You have resided in your voting precinct for at least 30 days

Note: You must register again if your name or permanent address has changed. Voter registration requires two forms of identification, including one with a current address (new residents may use a utility bill, checkbook, etc.).

Residents may register to vote in-person at Bannockburn Village Hall located at 2275 Telegraph Road. Contact Assistant Finance Director/Deputy Registrar Julia Gabbard by email at jgabbard@villageofbannockburn.org or call 847-945-6080 to schedule an appointment or for more information about documentation requirements. You may also register online through the State Board of Elections website.

A Petitioner will need to have at least 8 signatures and maximum of 58 on their petition in order to be considered to be placed on the ballot.  A copy of the 2025 Candidate Guide can be found here.

Consolidated Election Filing Period is from Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 8:30 AM through Monday, November 18, 2024 at 5:00 PM at Village Hall during normal business hours as follows:

Monday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except on the final filing date of November 18, 2024)
Tuesday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday – 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

No petitioner packets will be accepted before or after the stated dates and times.
