Chicago Stars FC Unveils First Club-Owned Performance Center in Bannockburn
Chicago Stars FC Takes Historic Step, Unveils Plans for First Club-Owned Performance Center
The player-centric, female forward training facility is slated to open in 2027
We are pleased to share the attached press release regarding the selection of the Village of Bannockburn as the proposed site for a player-centric performance center for the Chicago Stars FC of the National Women’s Soccer League. The Stars propose to develop the performance center in partnership with Populous and Marquee Development. This project represents a significant investment in women’s professional soccer and has the potential to become a landmark asset in the region and point of community pride.
The performance center proposal will be subject to the Village’s formal approval process, including review and recommendation by the Plan Commission & Zoning Board of Appeals (PCZBA), Architectural Review Commission (ARC) and final consideration by the Village Board.
As with any proposal, the Village will adhere to a transparent, standards-driven review to ensure compliance with zoning, land-use regulations and community objectives for maintaining the fundamental character of Bannockburn. Updates will be provided as the project advances through public hearings and official review.
We appreciate your engagement and encourage residents to participate in upcoming PCZBA meetings when the item is formally noticed.
