Niche ranks Bannockburn A+ in the 2023 Best Places to Live in the Chicago Area and Illinois

An annual ranking by Niche, has ranked the Village of Bannockburn as the #1 place to live in the Chicago area and Illinois. Niche uses multiple sources including the U.S. Census Bureau, FBI crime reports, school, and me reports. They identify Bannockburn as being good for families, highly ranked schools, commute and outdoor activities.

According to the Niche website, “Bannockburn is a suburb of Chicago with a population of 1,315. Bannockburn is in Lake County and is one of the best places to live in Illinois. Living in Bannockburn offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. Many young professionals live in Bannockburn and residents tend to have moderate political views. The public schools in Bannockburn are highly rated.”
