Food and Beverage Tax Information

At the Village Board of Trustees meeting on January 23, 2017, the Village Board adopted Ordinance Number 2017-02, which imposes a 1% tax on food and beverages prepared for immediate consumption (including local catering) effective April 1, 2017. All establishments service food and alcoholic beverages (for consumption on site) must complete and return the Food (Including Non-Alcoholic Beverages) and Alcoholic Beverage Tax Registration & Acknowledgement Form to the Village of Bannockburn by April 1, 2017 or upon opening, if established after the effective date.

Lastly, as the monies received from this tax go directly to the Village’s General Fund, the payments will need to be provided to the Village of Bannockburn.  Please make sure to submit the payments with the simple tax reporting document that can be found at the following link: Food and Beverage Tax Reporting Form
