Illinois Passenger Rail Proposed Improvements – Extension for Comments

The Illinois Department of Transportation, together with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the Federal Railroad Administration, in partnership with Amtrak, are conducting an Environmental Assessment (EA) for proposed improvements that would increase the frequency of round trips from seven to ten per day on Amtrak’s Hiawatha passenger rail service between Chicago and Milwaukee.  The EA can be found at the following link: Chicago-Milwaukee Intercity Passenger Rail Service EA has been out for review and public comment from October 6, 2016 to November 15, 2016, and now the official comment period has been extended to January 15, 2017.

Comment Period Extended for Environmental Assessment

The Village of Bannockburn recently passed a Resolution requesting additional review time by all of the parties.
