Following an extensive legal career in municipal, real estate, and corporate transactions, in 2006 Maria Lasday entered the city management profession as the City Administrator in Highwood, IL. In 2008, she began her current position as the Village Manager for Bannockburn, IL. As Village Manager, Ms. Lasday executes policy, and is responsible for the administrative responsibilities of the community including the oversight of the day to day operations of the Village, enforcement of Village Ordinances, recommendation of policy alternatives to the Board, and preparation of an annual budget for the Board’s review.
Presently Ms. Lasday is the First Vice President of the Metropolitan Manager’s Association. She is a Credentialed Manager through ICMA and speaks regularly at ILCMA and other professional conferences.
Ms. Lasday graduated from Pomona College with a double major in government and public policy and is also a graduate from UCLA Law School.
